Their glycemic index is moderate, meaning they can cause a slight increase in your blood sugar levels.

You should regulate your banana consumption because it can increase your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases.

Also, over-mature ones have a higher glycemic index. You should only consume one per day.

  1. I wonder if in moderation of 1/2 banana a day is a problem. The banana is rich in nutrients and certainly has been a staple for most homo species for centuries.
