What do cookies, cereals, and pancakes have in common? SUGAR! Are you aware of how much sugar is in a single serving? No? As many as 20 grams of sugar could lurk in your favorite cereals.

According to The American Heart Association, women should consume no more than 20 grams of sugar per day, while men no more than 36 grams. So, if you’re getting all the sugar for one day in one shoot… How much sugar do you really think you consume the entire day? On average, Americans consume 77 grams of sugar per day.

Therefore, sugary cereals are a no-no all the time, not just for breakfast. Ditch them from your diet as soon as possible.

  1. Ok, they said “sugary” cereals. I need bran, what about bran; and I don’t put sugar on my cereal so what about that?
