Coffee: Imagine a world without coffee! This COULD be a reality because rising temperatures severely impact areas of the world where coffee beans grow. Coffee might join the list of endangered foods at this rate in another 60 years. Because of climate change, all coffee beans are anticipated to be gone by 2080. I guess we better get used to drinking tea!

Maple Syrup: Maple syrup production requires freezing temperatures at night and warm weather throughout the day. Climate change is making temperatures unpredictable globally, and droughts can also contribute to the decline in syrup production.

Maple trees depend on stable weather conditions for proper growth. Today’s unstable and increasingly unpredictable weather results in a declining population of maple trees and less sugary sap. There might be no maple syrup to accompany our pancakes and waffles by the next century.
