THE GRAPEFRUIT DIET FAD
Seemingly, if you eat half a grapefruit before every meal, it will help you lose weight. Fans of this diet believe that a grapefruit has a fat-burning enzyme that will help you burn fat much faster.
Different versions of this diet have been floating around since around the 1930s and typically also go with a very low-calorie diet, which is the real reason you lose weight! This IS an excellent way to get some extra fruit in your diet, but just be careful because grapefruit has been known to interfere with certain medications. Check with your doctor if you’re unsure.
