Copycat Recipe: Wendy’s Chili
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 29 oz canned tomato sauce
- 29 oz canned kidney beans not drained
- 29 oz canned pinto beans not drained
- 28 oz canned tomatoes chopped (not drained)
- 1 yellow diced onion
- 1 diced jalapeno de-seeded and de-veined
- 2 chopped stalks celery
- 1 chopped green bell pepper
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp butter
Directions:
- In a heavy-bottomed stockpot, brown the ground beef, and drain the fat.
- Add in the rest of your ingredients, except the butter, and bring it to a boil.
- Lower the pot to a simmer and cook uncovered for 2 hours, occasionally stirring.
- Add in your butter and stir until it has fully melted and serve.
