Copycat Recipe: Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
- 6 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream
- 1½ cups whole milk
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- 16-ounce pack fettuccine
- Finely chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
- Cook your pasta per the instructions, drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and garlic powder and whisk together to mix.
- Scatter the flour over the butter and garlic mixture. Whisk together and slowly add in the heavy cream and milk while whisking. Let the sauce begin to simmer, and then reduce the heat to a low temperature, allowing the creamy mixture to simmer for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Add in the parmesan and whisk together.
- Add in your cooked and drained fettuccine. Toss your pasta in the sauce to coat it well using some tongs.
- You can garnish with a bit of fresh, chopped parsley and fresh parmesan cheese and serve!
