8 Nutrition Myths You Need to STOP Believing

Everybody should be eating grains

If you didn’t know by now, grains are fairly low in nutrients if you compare them to other foods like vegetables. Grains are also rich in a substance named phytic acid that binds essential minerals in your intestine. But, as you know, the most common grain is wheat grains and can cause you many health problems, due to its large amount of a protein (gluten) and many of us tend to be sensitive to it.

Eating a lot of protein is bad for your bones and kidneys

It has been claimed that a high protein diet can cause you both kidney and osteoporosis disease. Some studies show the opposite effect, because protein is linked to improved bone health and a lower risk of fracture. Also, there is no association between a large amount of protein and kidney disease. As a bonus, eating a high protein diet lowers the risk factors for kidney failure.
