Salty Foods
I’m sure we’ve all heard this. Salt causes your body to retain much more water. And while we all need sodium in our diet, how much strictly depends on the amount you exercise. If you’re an athlete and burn thousands of calories during a marathon or some intense workout, drinking and eating salt definitely does its job of helping you rehydrate and replenish the amount of salt you lose through sweat. B
ut if you’re at a BBQ, sitting by the pool ordering a sandwich, fries, or another salty snack, you’re basically just asking for it. In other words, when the host comes to you and asks if you want another helping, turn a blind eye to that delicious plate of salty fries and choose something else.
