Cake

Could you believe that some doctors refuse to eat cake, even on their birthdays? Actually, that’s not super surprising considering what goes into a cake. Flour, sugar, more flour, and more sugar.

Sugar has been shown to cause wrinkles, premature aging, and adrenal fatigue by promoting oxidative stress and internal inflammation.

Having a slice on special occasions probably won’t hurt, as long as the rest of your meals are balanced out. But eating a whole cake? Even for your birthday, it’s best not to.

Canned soups

A lot of people buy canned soups because they believe soups are difficult to make at home. But nothing could be further from the truth! You’re basically boiling a bunch of ingredients and adding herbs and different spices for taste, what could possibly go wrong?

What we and a lot of doctors are saying is, don’t reach for the canned soups when you’re out shopping. They’re notorious for high sodium levels. In fact, one can contain more sodium than doctors recommend adults to eat in a single day!

If the rest of your meals contain sodium, which they probably do, then you’re going way, way above what health professionals recommend.

Canola oil

Some people have started revering canola oil because it reduces cholesterol. There’s only one problem- it also contains high amounts of Omega-6, inflammatory fatty acids.

Basically, doctors consider this to be a double-edged sword. Look for healthier alternatives for your meals!

Cheetos

There are two main reasons that doctors avoid Cheetos despite how devilishly addictive they are!

First of all, the way in which the corn is processed (though an extruder) strips it of most if not all its nutrients. So you’re not getting any nutritional value from this snack. It also promotes inflammation, which is a double whammy.

But the dust is just as dangerous. It’s basically a blend of MSG and artificial colors. These have been proven to serve as excitatory neurotoxins.
