Pastries

Some doctors truly, truly hate pastries of all kinds. That’s because the vast majority of them are made from genetically modified wheat.

This wheat contains some 200 proteins that haven’t been tested, at least not sufficiently. So we don’t really know what harms they can cause, but some preliminary research has shown that pastries are linked to things such as heart disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and autoimmune conditions.

That’s a long list of side effects. It’s no wonder doctors won’t indulge in pastries!

Potato chips

We all know potato chips aren’t healthy, right? They’re loaded with carbohydrates, fats, and sodium. They basically don’t contain any nutrients that are beneficial to us.

But if you aren’t able to steer clear you may as well try vegetable chips instead. These are healthier substitutes, but don’t overdo it! Enjoy them moderately and stick to healthier snacks such as fruits and nuts instead!

Processed meats

Processed meats are a staple of every sandwich or platter, but the hint is in the name… Doctors avoid them because they’re processed.

Even if you’re eating turkey or chicken, don’t give yourself a pat on the back yet. Even the leaner meats can be dangerous.
That’s because they’re made out of bits of meat that would have otherwise be thrown away. So why do they taste so good? Because they’re also filled with chemicals designed to give the meats a better taste! Everything from preservatives to artificial flavors and fillers is used.

And we’re not just talking small amounts, either! Yuck…

Skim milk

Here’s another thing doctors don’t consume that might shock you.

Many people think skim milk is a healthier alternative because it contains less fat. But you have to keep in mind that the same process that removes all the fat also created oxidized cholesterol.

If you really want a healthier alternative then you’re better off drinking whole-far dairy in smaller amounts, according to some doctors.
