Black coffee
Not really a tea fan? Fine! Coffee can have similar benefits, but there’s a catch… No milk, sugar, or creamers are allowed in your much-needed cup of coffee. Dr. Devereaux says that any addition to your black coffee (no matter how healthy it may be) neutralizes its anti-inflammatory polyphenols.
Plus, it seems that caffeine protects against lung cancer. A recent study published in the Experimental Hematology & Oncology journal found that caffeine has the ability to inhibit several proteins found in lung cancer cells. However, remember that moderation is key, so make sure you’ll drink one cup of Java, not three.
