Broccoli
From all cruciferous veggies, I think that broccoli is the most hated one, mainly because it tastes “terrible.” Although I disagree, broccoli is one of my favorite veggies, and I encourage more people to eat it as you won’t get the same benefits from any other veggie.
Sulforaphane, a chemical found in this cruciferous veggie, has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. In a recent study, people with COPD who consumed broccoli every single day saw an improvement in their symptoms. Plus, broccoli offers a greater amount of vitamin C (more than an orange). A cup of broccoli packs your daily need for this key vitamin.
