You should replace certain caloric foods

It’s perfectly fine to eat carbs in moderation, but try to opt for good carbs, not processed foods. However, if you want to cut carbs from time to time, you can simply replace certain caloric foods that are high in carbohydrates. For instance, you can eat a wrap sandwich with vegetables, but without adding rice or French fries. In this way, you get only good carbs and reduce the bad ones.

“I love eating my carbs, but when I am trying to cut down a bit, I drop the bun from my turkey burger and just eat the burger, lettuce, and tomato. Often times, I cut it all up and make a small turkey salad with balsamic vinaigrette,” said Jim White RD, ACSM HFS, Owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios.
