14. Processed cheese

A 1-ounce serving of American cheese packs almost 380 milligrams of sodium or around 17 percent of the RDI. The exact same amount of loaf cheese contains around 450 milligrams of sodium. Just try to buy lower-sodium versions like mozzarella or Swiss cheese.
