20. Frozen meals
Not all foods are created equal, and the same goes for frozen ones. While frozen fruits and veggies are super-healthy, frozen meals are the opposite of health. Most, if not all frozen meals are really but really high in sodium. Some frozen meals may contain half of your daily sodium allowance.
Avoid frozen meals at all costs and when you think it’s time for a frozen meal, check the labels to find a low-in-sodium brand. According to The Food and Drug Administration, 600 milligrams of sodium for a frozen meal should be kind of ‘healthy.’ And by healthy, the agency means safe.
If you see more than 600 milligrams written on a frozen meal’s label, ditch it! So, make your own meal when possible.
