Most of us tend to associate high-fat foods with bad dietary choices, and while most times this statement is true, when it comes to the following food choices, it is a myth! For many years, fat has been criticized and demonized by “health experts” for no reason. Like most things surrounding us, fat can be good or bad, too. So, it’s actually about the type of fat you choose to eat, not the fat itself.
In an attempt to avoid high-fat foods, most Americans fall into the biggest trap of all: the one of consuming more refined carbs, sugar, and processed foods—that’s why our country is one of the most obese countries in the world. Fat is definitely not the health demon it was made out to be, but the ultra-processed foods we consume on a regular basis.
