6. Sports drinks

As the name suggests, sports drinks were designed for athletes and their needs. Most sports drinks contain sugar and electrolytes that are really useful for sports enthusiasts, but are you an athlete? If not, why do you drink this type of beverage?

Athletes need additional sugar and electrolytes (salts) in their diet because they eliminate them really fast. A person who doesn’t practice any sports shouldn’t drink sports beverages. Your body doesn’t need additional salts and sugar.

If you’re not practicing a sport, or you’re not used to going to the gym, forget about sports drinks and stick to plain water.
