But don’t opt for energy bars that contain dried fruits, especially if you want to cut carbs. 

“Skip energy bars that have dried fruit in them. They add a hefty dose of carbs, thanks to all of their sugar. Look for bars that are made from mostly nuts and seeds to get all the energy you need without the carbs,” said Shapiro.
