2. Mind hunger

Your mind knows that sugar is bad for your health, but sometimes it plays tricks on you, asking for a “well-deserved” treat. From all types of hunger, mind hunger is probably the most tricky and difficult to deal with, but it’s not impossible.

While our brains tell us when it’s time to eat, they are not always correct. And we don’t suggest that you shouldn’t listen to your body but that you should also know when to ignore it. So, are you really hungry, or is it just a craving? How can you tell?

How to control it: Let’s say you have a piece of cake in front of you, and your brain signals you that “it’s time to eat.” Replace that piece of cake with something you hate eating, like broccoli; if you’re truly hungry, you’ll eat that cruciferous veggie; if not… it wasn’t real hunger; it was mind hunger.
