According to a New York-based registered dietitian, Alexandra Oppenheimer Delvito, M.S., R.D., C.D.N., we should never eat wild mushrooms. It is never safe. Plus, not all of us are wild mushroom connoisseurs, so it’s best to buy them from your local supermarket.
You’ll find most mushroom varieties there without worrying about the harmful effects that may occur after consuming wild mushrooms, like being sick, hallucinating, or even death. So, which one will it be? Bought mushrooms we all know are safe to eat or going in the forest and visiting the hospital?
