10. Broths and stocks
Just like most foods listed in this article, broths and stocks can be healthy, too. But store-bought broths and stocks won’t give you the same health punch as homemade ones, on the contrary. Packaged broths and stocks are pretty high in salt.
An 8-ounce serving of beef broth packs approximately 800 milligrams of sodium or around 34 percent of the RDI. Store-bought chicken broths contain similar amounts of sodium. Just avoid buying broths and stocks from the supermarket.
