Unpasteurized Cheese
A fan of cheese? Then you might be what is known as a turophile! If you like to try out new cheeses regularly then you have to put up with the fact that, for your own safety, the FDA has put a ban on unpasteurized cheese.
These are banned in the U.S. as they’re made from what is known as “raw” milk which typically harbors dangerous and in some cases deadly bacteria.
Feel like trying out Brie de Meaux, Camembert de Normandie, and Belu de Gex? Then your best bet is tasting these varieties outside of our borders because there’s no way you’d ever find them in the U.S.
