14. Flavored instant oatmeal
It’s really a shame that a healthy and nutritious food like oatmeal gets a bad rap, but due to the ‘flavored’ part, this superfood gets a complete makeover. Most flavored instant oatmeal brands pack lots of sugar, trans fats, and artificial flavors.
Don’t pick flavored instant oatmeal if you want to eat a healthy breakfast. Just go with instant oatmeal instead. It will give a decent amount of fiber, and if you want to enhance its flavor, just some fresh fruits like blueberries or a handful of sliced almonds.
15. Frozen whipped topping
It may look harmless, but so do koalas and slow lorises… Frozen whipped topping is not something you would find on a nutritionist’s shopping cart. They are basically mixtures of hydrogenated vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, and several artificial flavors.
Try to make your own whipped cream at home. It’s not that hard, by the way…
