20. Canned spaghetti and meatballs

Neda Varbanova, certified culinary nutritionist, holistic health coach, and recipe creator, says that canned spaghetti and meatballs should be avoided at all costs when you’re shopping. And, although it is a convenient meal, it has no nutritional value.

Think about how many ingredients you use when you’re making spaghetti and meatballs… six or so. Now, check the labels. You’ll find almost 40 ingredients listed.

From mechanically separated chicken to dextrose, high fructose corn syrup, and enzyme-modified butter, canned spaghetti and meatballs seem more like a school project than a real meal.
