2. Fruits and veggies

Almost all veggies and fruits pack abundant amounts of essential antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. But some are better than others. For instance, avocados, oranges, kale and broccoli are particularly superfoods when it comes to aiding mental health.

Most fruits and veggies are also great sources of fiber, which can also reduce anxiety. So far, so good, but, unfortunately, about 10 percent of Americans eat the recommended amounts of fruits and veggies per day, namely 2 cups of fruits and about 3 cups of veggies.

Try to consume as many as you can—they are full of benefits!
