7 Ways Restaurants Get Creative in Putting Social Distancing into Play

Stuffed pandas at empty tables

If so far we have seen cardboard cutouts of people and mannequins on empty tables to make customers feel comfortable, at a Vietnamese restaurant in Thailand there are also stuffed pandas next to diners.

The Vietnamese restaurant, called Maison Saigon, had initially placed one chair at each table, but it looked empty and isolated so that they decided to place stuffed pandas where diners can’t sit.

“The doll makes me feel less lonely eating by myself,” said Sawit Chaiphuek, who said that he enjoyed the food for the first time in months.

  1. I love this idea! This would be so awesome for guy’s and gals who want a really nice place to go and time to talk about their day. This would be so nice at the beach, the lake in the fall, outside the ski resort in winter. I think it’s a great way to socialize and stay a healthy distance from someone you don’t know. Great idea!!!
