12 Frozen Foods You Should Avoid at All Costs

Pasta dishes

We all love pasta, but not all of them are created equal, especially when it comes to frozen pasta dishes. White kinds of pasta are definitely a no-n0, but when they come in frozen packaging, you can say bye-bye to your tip-top shape waistline.

And it’s not just about your looks, but your overall health, too. Always opt for whole-wheat or fresh pasta. If you have any pasta dishes in your freezer, ditch them immediately. And making your own pasta dish at home is not that complicated.

Carbonara, for instance, needs a couple of ingredients (eggs, Parmesan, pancetta, and butter) and is ready in 15 minutes or so. Therefore, buying frozen pasta dishes saves no time at all, and you can’t compare the homemade taste to the store-bought one.

  1. Absolutely RIGHT….If ya don’t have the time to prepare it fresh, then ya don’t have the time to enjoy it at all….I do freeze leftovers that will be eaten within a week just to have more storage space in the refrigerator for upcoming meal preparation. I will say I do have a side of beef in the freezer as well as some fresh chicken, but this meat is totally raw – no condiments or preservatives used and kept at -4 degrees Centigrade. I’ve never had any issue with thawing and cooking the freezer meat. The cuisine here is very basic and simple. I seldom shop at a popular “grocery store”, but rather the butcher, dairy or bakery – all which are local here.
