Beans
This one is a given. We all know that beans make you gassy, but let’s break it down. Beans contain lots of raffinose, a tough sugar that your body has problems digesting. This sugar passes through the small intestines into the large intestines, where bacteria get broken down, producing hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane gas, eventually leaving through the rectum.
If you’re a big fan of beans but don’t want to deal with a gassy day, an over-the-counter product, Beano, has been found to effectively reduce gas for some people. Also, soaking beans overnight can also help reduce that windy effect.
