Packaged Lunch Meats
Packaged lunch meats are difficult to give up on because they make our lives and lunches so much easier. However, they’re high in saturated fat and sodium, so you should avoid them at all costs.
There are two alternatives that you can try. Either buy low sodium meats from your local deli or used sliced meat that you’ve roasted yourself, at home. That way you’ll know exactly what goes in your sandwich.
Speaking of sandwiches, stay away from unhealthy toppings such as mayo. If your lunch needs a little more flavor consider adding vegetables, hummus or mustard.
Sweetened Cereals
Sweetened cereals, while delicious, can be detrimental to your health. They may be your favorite go-to breakfast meal but your body will hate you for the high dosage of carbohydrates and added sugar.
Plain cereals topped with fruit and artificial sweeteners will keep you full for longer without the repercussions to your health!
