Chervil soup

In Germany, Maundy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter) is known as Gründonnerstag, which translates to “Green Thursday.” While there is no historical or traditional significance of green on the day, Germans prefer to eat green-colored foods such as chervil soup. The soup is made of fresh chervil, chicken stock, cream and hard-boiled eggs or egg yolk.
