Cold cuts and cheese are the main contributors, with about 250 milligrams of sodium per slice, and that’s if you only use one slice, which you don’t! The bread and those lashings of condiments will multiply the risks to your heart.
Sadly this doesn’t seem to be a priority for most Americans as according to a Current Treatment Options in Cardiovascular Medicine report, only 33 percent of Americans are looking to cut back on sodium.
