Chinese food can contain Monosodium glutamate or MSG. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding MSG in the natural health community. It is claimed to cause asthma, headaches and even brain damage. On the other hand, most official sources like the FDA claim that MSG is safe.
Even if your meal doesn’t contain MSG it’s still likely to be high in the aforementioned sugar, fats, and salts. According to the American Heart Association, a heavy meal may increase the risk of heart attack by about four times within just two hours after eating.
