Beets
Now you’re probably scratching your head and thinking to yourself…”Wait, aren’t beets supposed to be really healthy for you?” Well, they most certainly are. But just like many other items on our list.
However, beets are also very rich in methyl, which our bodies will digest into trimethylamine, the same stinky compound that people with trimethylaminuria can not process in fish.
The result is just as you would expect. Eating beets can make you smell fishy… LITERALLY!
Tip: Are you a smoker? The smoke of a cigarette mixes with the sweat and causes a distinctive smoker’s smell. This smell will stay for a more extended period of time, and then after a few days, it will cause a foul body odor because it combines with the bacteria in sweat.
