9. Blackberries, beets, and rhubarb can turn your urine pink.

Now we know that dehydration and vitamin C sources can cause orange urine, but we still wonder if reddish-colored veggies, as well as fruits, have the ability to turn it pink. The answer is YES! Rhubarb, blackberries, and beets can actually turn your urine pink.

It’s possible because of the chemical compounds found in these reddish-colored fruits and veggies. And just like foods rich in vitamin C, the effect is only temporary.

As long as it is a side effect caused by certain foods, there’s no need to worry. Plus, some people may notice a ‘tea’ color in urine after consuming reddish-colored foods, not pink or red. Still, if the color of your pee is red or pink even if you haven’t eaten these foods, call your doctor ASAP.

You may have kidney stones or a urinary tract infection.
