Raw Sprouts
Lately, raw sprouts have become superstars on various healthy food blogs. Don’t get us wrong, they are absolutely healthy and nutritious, packed with good chemicals that will keep you going for hours.
But you also have to be extremely careful where you source your sprouts from. Even well-established nutrition experts and food science professors don’t eat raw sprouts if they don’t know where they’re from.
Because they’re grown in warm, humid conditions they may be ripe with pathogenic bacteria. That’s why kids, pregnant women, and elderly people should stay stick to more traditional salads or garnishes for their meals.
