The eggcellent part of this food staple is that you can enjoy it at any time during the day. Being packed with great amounts of protein and nearly every mineral and vitamin your body needs to survive and complete its daily tasks, eggs are definitely superfoods, despite the endless disputes.

Because they last no longer than five weeks in the fridge, some don’t consider eggs non-perishable foods, however, they are certainly food staples.

When you can, opt for pasture-raised eggs. They are more nutritious than the eggs coming from caged hens.
