Oil: Storing your oils in the fridge will cause them to harden and lose their smoothness. It’s best to keep them in a cupboard or on the countertop. Note: Nut oils SHOULD be refrigerated.

Tomatoes: Whether it’s Cherry, heirloom, or any other type, store them at room temperature for the best taste and texture.

Tomatoes stored in cold temperatures stop ripening, and the flesh becomes grainy and unappealing. Your refrigerator can make tomatoes mealy and soft, so you should keep them on the counter instead.

  1. The Electoral College got us Donald Trump, and look what a disaster that has been! He never would have been elected by popular vote. He is a lying, narcissistic, sexual-predator and insurrectionist who is now a convicted felon and should be in jail. Please, one citizen, one vote. It is no longer the 1800s.

  2. Then why does it say on the labels on a lot of products to refrigerate after opening? I don’t have enough counter space to leave food out, so, it goes into the fridge.

I keep my pickles in the refrigerator because they taste better chilled. Tomatoes go in when they start getting soft before they have a chance to spoil

  4. Stop peppering the article with ad’s that not only confuse the reader to continue reading the article instead of being led into a useless ad. If your content is as dependent then it not only removes the reading and information pleasure but leads to doubt as to the validity of the content of the article

  5. Ok…instead of the wordiness and incessant BS ads. How about just making a list of items. Then you can follow up with item by item as to why
Get to the point and you can get to the incidental contest specific to each stated item later on.
A good writer will get to the point quick then support the specific case by case specifics later. The writer does not know how to keep readers interested..he/she must work for the ad companies.

  6. I was on an Israeli kibbutz for 3 months, where eggs were not refrigerated. Perfectly fine. But as said, once refrigerated, like here in the States, always refrigerated.

  7. Right – stop refrigerating these things and let them get rotten! I refrigerate all of them because some years ago I read and article like this so I followed instructions – and threw away more than half because they got spoiled out of the fridge.

  8. I have found that not refrigrating jam hastens mold growth. It’s not a good idea to put it on the pantry shelf after opening.

  9. I have stopped viewing these infomercials since it takes too long to wait for the info while give a sales pitch. While I would like the info it takes too long to get to the bottome line – COST!!!!!!

  10. So what are the 10 things that we don’t need to refrigerate? Your articles only half finished. I find this clickbait crap very irritating.

  11. You’re right! I keep a lot of this in my fridge! I saw my mother do it so I always have but at age 77 I will be making some changes! Never too late to learn. Thank you!
