THE RAW FOOD DIET FAD
The belief here is that heating food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes, so you shouldn’t cook anything! You’re allowed to heat food, but nothing above 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Raw vegetables, fruits, raw milk, and sashimi are included.
You should be very careful when going on this diet because there is an increased risk of food poising in uncooked meat and unpasteurized dairy. Also, some beans can be toxic if not soaked and cooked. Great care should also be taken that the diet is not short in specific vitamins and minerals and that your bowels don’t suffer from the increase in raw fiber!
