Carnation
Carnations are often used in the culinary world by steeping them in wine, candy, or as decoration for different desserts and cakes. This edible flower’s petals are known to taste surprisingly sweet, with a light clove-like or nutmeg scent.
Dandelion
This edible flower might just be one of the most undervalued or unfairly detested spring plants. Dandelions are chock-filled with nutrition! Besides enjoying the greens in your salad, you can steam or fry some unopened blossoms.
And if you’ve got the time and patience, you can even remove its sweet yellow petals and add them to some baked goods, make a syrup, or even brew some of your own dandelion wine.
But if time isn’t on your side, a smaller number of petals make a lovely addition to salads and are sprinkled on baked goods and soups.
