Gluten-free junk foods
According to a survey, about a third of people in the United States are actively trying to avoid gluten. The problem with this is that people replace the gluten-containing foods with processed junk foods. So, these gluten-free foods are high in sugar, refined grains like tapioca starch or corn starch and unhealthy oils. The starches contained in these products lead to rapid spikes in blood sugar and they are also very low in nutrients.
Alternatives: Pick foods that are naturally gluten-free.
