Cold and Flu superfoods continued!

  • Mushrooms: From shiitake to button, mushrooms are well fit to boost your immune system. They’re rich in the polysaccharide beta-glucan, activating the immune system to prevent a cold from happening. They also help control white blood cells, alerting them to a possible infection.
  • Water: This one’s a given. When you’re sick, it’s easy to become dehydrated, so doctors say: “Keep your fluids up!” Water is a natural detox, helping rid your body of any harmful pathogens. It can also help break up congestion and prevent any further infections.
  • Spinach: Spinach is a classic superfood….Popeye even says so! It’s loaded with fiber and vitamin C. So you should include this superfood in a meal by sauteing it with some olive oil or tossing a cup of it into a protein smoothie.

I need a good cup of hot broth with my onions , peppers ,garlic and slice of turkey breast on grain bread. Just the meat and bread cooked , stay away from me because this makes my days. Up and away two days later.

  2. It’s great to have this list and know that I eat/drink 6 of the 7 on the list. I’m only missing elderberry so that can be added.

Thanks so much for posting this!
