A study also found that eating oatmeal could minimize inflammation in the gut. So you can say bye-bye to bloating, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. However, always opt for sugar-free oatmeal. If you want to add some flavor, sprinkle some blueberries or mix them with a tablespoon of honey.

Yogurts, especially Greek ones are excellent foods to eat when you’re sick. Besides its protein content, yogurt also packs some important vitamins and minerals like calcium. On top of that, you’ll also get beneficial probiotics
However, when it comes to combating colds, studies have shown that the probiotics found in yogurt reduce the length of a cold. Additionally, the same study concluded that participants took fewer antibiotics due to probiotics.
Sadly, dairy intake can’t ease congestion, cough, or mucus production, but still; it is a good idea to maximize the intake when sick.
