The health halo surrounding Subway is a blessing for the sandwich brand. Unfortunately, it’s pretty challenging for everyone else.

The numbers Subway promotes are just for the 6-inch sub and don’t consider the mayo, cheese, olive oil, or any other extras most folks get on their sandwich.

If you order a 12-inch with a couple of amenities, your “healthy” sub will turn into an 800-calorie, diet-sinking torpedo. Though, to be fair, there are many nutritious sandwich combos at Subway, and this is one of them.
