6. Beans
We know… beans can make you gassy and bloated, but they are an inexpensive source of fiber and super healthy. Also, beans are very rich in B vitamins and certain essential minerals like magnesium, potassium, and calcium (yes, calcium!)
Regarding diabetes management, beans have a low glycemic index, meaning that your blood sugar levels won’t be affected. In fact, beans are one of the few foods that can prevent diabetes.
A study involving more than 3,000 adults at greater risk for cardiovascular disease found out that those who ate a higher amount of beans had a 35 percent minimized risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Try to include more beans into your diet.
