
3. Gimlet
This gin based classic was originally created for sailors as a way to prevent scurvy. Simple, refreshing and very easy to make, the Gimlet comes in at a tasty 178 calories.
Ingredients
2 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Simple syrup
Garnish: Lime wheel
Steps
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or an Old Fashioned glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
(You can substitute 1 oz lime cordial, such as Rose’s lime juice, for both the lime juice and simple syrup.).
