Wait…what!? Even salads can make us tired? Unfortunately, yes. Fine says that most foods can cause tiredness if they aren’t eaten as a balanced snack or meal. So, if your green salad is covered in dressings, you’ll most likely take a nap after eating it.
Salad dressings contain large amounts of sugar. To be more specific. according to the USDA’s FoodData Central nutrition database, only a quarter-cup of Russian dressing contains 10 ½ grams of the white stuff. This actually translates to approximately one tablespoon.
So, if you want your salad healthy, make your own dressing.
