Store cashiers can’t control the prices and sales tax
When you go shopping you should know that sales tax is not set by the store cashiers so stop asking them a lot of things about price negotiation. In fact, they are here to do their job, not to control the prices.Â
“A customer actually asked if I would not charge tax if they paid cash,” says Jessica Lee, confessing one of her most questionable experiences while working in retail. “What kind of operation do you think this is and why do you think I can control the prices?”
