9 Signs You Need to Eat More Carbs

Many people try to reduce their carbs intake, but what they don’t know is that carbs are essential nutrients that can help your body work properly. There are “good carbs” that can be found in fruits, grains, vegetables and milk products, and “bad carbs” that can be found in fast foods or processed food. Obviously, you should reduce bad carbs intake and increase good carbs consumption.

“Carbohydrates are macronutrients, meaning they are one of the three main ways the body obtains energy or calories,” explained Paige Smathers, a Utah-based registered dietitian.

According to nutritionists, people should include carbs in their diet for a healthier life. It’s important to remember that carbs are the main source of energy in your body. There are three essential macronutrients, namely: carbs, protein and fats, and your diet is responsible for producing them because your body can’t do it by itself.
