Is Fasting Safe For Anyone?
Technically speaking, physically and mentally, you can fast as soon as you are aware of food consumption. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s healthy for everyone. Pregnant women shouldn’t fast because it is unknown if those eating habits could affect the unborn child negatively or in a positive way.
People with serious diseases shouldn’t fast either because it could lead to complications with their well-being. If you are in recovery from some sort of illness or significant surgery, it’s not advised.
You need the nutrients that foods produce to help you heal. When you fast, you won’t receive enough nutrition because you’re not eating enough food.
