Fatty fish such as sardines, mackerel, salmon, tuna, or lake trout are the richest when referring to omega-3 fatty acids. This type of fatty acids is crucial for supporting skin health. So, if you want thick, supple, and moisturized skin, eating salmon is a must.
A diet rich in omega-3 oils is often associated with healthy skin. In fact, recent studies suggest that they are responsible for minimizing inflammation, which is known to cause acne and redness. Omega-3 fatty acids are also linked to an improvement in psoriasis and lupus patients.
Your skin also needs vitamin E for protecting itself against free radicals and guess what—fatty fish is a wonderful source of this vitamin. And, that’s not all: fatty fish also contains zinc, a crucial mineral for boosting the production of new healthy skin cells.
In fact, dealing with a zinc deficiency can eventually lead to slow wood healing, skin inflammation, and lesions.
P.S.: Taking advantage of all these marvelous benefits can be tricky when you’re not a fish fan. This can be easily solved by taking omega-3 supplements. However, it’s best to talk to your doctor first.

Just like fatty fish, avocados are also a great source of vitamin E, but, when compared to fatty fish, the popular fruit is also high in vitamin C. Why is this good for your skin? Vitamin E has an increased efficiency when accompanied by vitamin C.
Note that half of an avocado provides approximately 14 percent of the Daily Value for vitamin E and about 11 percent of the Daily Value for vitamin C.
